Barcelona to use ‘Griezmann tactic’ to land Felix from Atleti
Barcelona to use ‘Antoine Griezmann tactic’ in bid to land Joao Felix permanently from Atletico Madrid
Barcelona have a special trick up their sleeves as they look to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.
Barca want to sign Felix permanently
Atleti ready to sell at €70m-€80m
Barcelona to reduce price with ‘Griezmann tactic’
Despite Felix’s uneven performances for the Blaugrana this season, Barcelona is seeking to sign him on a permanent basis. Atletico Madrid is said to seek between €70 and €80 million (£60-68 million/$75m-86 million) for Felix, which is considerably more than Barcelona can afford. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club intends to launch a bid of €30-40 million (£25-45 million/$32-43 million). If the Rojiblancos turn it down, they will try to sign Felix on loan for a second season.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are ready to reach an agreement in order to avoid another summer saga. Fearing that a flurry of goals between now and the end of the season will give Los Colchoneros a stronger bargaining position and increase interest in the Portuguese, the Blaugrana are willing to negotiate Felix’s transfer or loan as early as January.
DID YOU KNOW?
Barcelona’s strategy is identical to Atletico Madrid’s when re-signing Griezmann. Both parties recognize how unlikely it is that Felix will return to his former team, especially after his celebrations against Atletico last weekend. Barca will try to reduce the price because Felix wants to stay and will not be welcomed back at Atletico.
WHAT COMES NEXT FOR FELIX?
Felix will be in action when Barcelona takes on Girona on Sunday, December 10, looking to reduce the four-point gap against their local rivals.
