Newcastle considering loan bids for Spurs and PSG outcasts
Newcastle are investigating a loan move for former Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris, according to The Mirror, with PSG stopper Keylor Navas another short-term option.
Newcastle believe Martin Dubravka is a competent alternative for Nick Pope after his injury, but Eddie Howe is concerned about our lack of depth.
Following surgery on his dislocated shoulder, Pope will be out for at least four months. Loris Karius is another option behind Dubravka, but Howe has been hesitant to use the German international since he arrived as a free agent last September, with his single appearance coming in our FA Cup final loss to Manchester United earlier this year.
Newcastle had a loan bid for Loris rejected in the last days of the summer window, while Navas is presently a back-up option at PSG after spending the 2022/23 season with Nottingham Forest.
