Why Pochettino won’t be on the touchline at Newcastle
Why Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino won’t be on the touchline for Premier League clash with Newcastle – explained
Mauricio Pochettino will have to watch from the stands as Chelsea visit St. James’ Park to face Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday.
Chelsea will go to Newcastle on Saturday afternoon in an attempt to extend their winning streak to four games. They will have to accomplish this, though, without their Argentine coach providing guidance from the sidelines.
Pochettino has to serve out his touchline ban, therefore he won’t be there. Before the international break, during his team’s 4–4 tie with Manchester City, the coach stormed onto the field to quarrel with referee Anthony Taylor. For this, he was given a yellow card. He was suspended because it was his third booking of the year. The manager acknowledged that he will punish himself for the transgression.
